Interesting take on the new Theme. I kinda wish I could see more of one of the "crowds"...The "live" crowd is barely there...the previously photographed crowd is very secondary, so no great presence of a crowd here.

This is very quirky and I love it. High marks.

flipthom said 303 days ago:

Pete, wow...this is really fun. A photograph of a crowd, a real crowd, and the Pope? Gosh. You're raising the bar for this theme.

ArneG said 303 days ago:

Hmmm - a composite - not sure what to think

Montage said 303 days ago:

I don't get this at all.

pete said 303 days ago:

thanks flip.. i was trying to be clever :)

@montage.. its a photo of a crowd, and a face... with a crowd looking at it (or similar ones)

Ana said 303 days ago:

too bad you couldn't straighten the original photograph!

zorilla said 303 days ago:

Sometimes these natural juxtapositions work and sometimes they don't. Even with this guy you can't expect miracles

pete said 303 days ago:

aww, be nice Zorilla :P

and yeh Ana, nothing i could do about that ;)

Ana said 303 days ago:

Is that JPII?

pete said 303 days ago:

yep. the one and only

JIMJIM said 301 days ago:

Great concept for the theme - very very relevant (he's the man... :)

stolenlife said 301 days ago:

Id probably give this a slight straighten and make the picture more central, then crop the bottom to the barrier.. But then its your shot, and a good one

beckn32 said 301 days ago:

Extremly irrelevant to me but a nice composition if for any other theme than this one.

pete said 301 days ago:

2.9 in total. mixed bag on relevance it seems. oh well, i try and be different

I like this even though it is an image of an image which I usually shy away from rating - but it works here to some degree and is visually interesting enough to keep me looking at it. Nicely seen.
