Okay, so doesn't this *have* to be Ana. It's very much like something she would create. I see she cleverly decided to double up and include the defunct "Words" theme with the "Self-Portrait 3" theme.

This has a cinema verite look to it, with provocative, edgy framing and composition, but just right, all the same.

Well done. High marks. And if this isn't Ana? Well done. High marks.

The song. I think that if the image had been in b/w and the writing had been in colour this would have had a greater impact overall. I like the idea though.

OH, I did SO many things to this image with the colours and processing. But in the end, I really liked the soft purple the best. It suits me.

I'm sorry, but this is not an interpretation of the theme I consider relevant :(

Also, that lilac hue disturbs me a bit.

Otherwise I gave it higher than average technical scores.

Go to Ana's W.S. page and take a look at the almost 160 photos she has posted to W.S. in the past year(+), including two previous self-portraits. If you had the time, you could probably read 2,000 comments she has posted.

I think this photo is more relevant to me than it is to you because I think I've gotten to know Ana over time.

That does not mean the image should be relevant to you and I think your comment reveals something about this theme: The apparent relevance of the contribution may be largely influenced by what we already know about the person in the photograph.

I just realized we have two belly shots that are featured now. Conventional thinking would lead one to conclude I should go shoot mine and post it. Then reality hit me in the head and told me not to make the audience puke if I want high ratings. Congrats to Kyla and Ana though.
