The story:

This guy was about to take part in a crawfish race. I was standing around a table with a bunch of other folks waiting for the race to start when he reared up like this as if to say he'd take all comers. In fact I titled the picture "Let's Get Ready To Rumble!"

Just moments after this shot, he was rounded up with about a dozen other crawfish, the hula hoop was removed and children pounded on the table to try to get their crawfish to make it to the outside of the table first. This racer did not do well in the race. He most likely was someone's dinner shortly after that, but that's a whole other story.

@ King - The feelers end about there. It wasn't an intentional crop, just didn't quite get them all in the frame. He didn't stay in this fighting position for very long, so I didn't have a lot of time to compose.

@ zulu - They taste delicious. The cajun folks in the Louisiana bayou country boil these guys up alive in a big pot with lots of spices.

You eat the meat from the tails and suck the juices out of the head. By the end of a plate of crawfish, your lips are usually burning from all the spice. Good stuff!

You'll need two sets of straight 5's (or thereabouts) to get there. Two sets of dots across the top will raise your average, with 20 ratings, to 3.666 and a feature. One set of 5's will get you to 3.596...not enough.

Really captured the imagination allowing people to convey their own narration. It is very amusing and worthy of the gold star kadenajack!
