This is great. No explanation needed here, eh? High marks from me.

This was once a Holiday Inn. It was another victim of Hurricane Ivan. When I shot this picture, they were almost done with the demolition. So far reconstruction has not started, nearly 3 years after that storm.

Ana said 477 days ago:
wow....well, I gave it high scores for all, but composition (4). wish there were a tad more above the building and to the left. but great shot!
SeekingFocus said 477 days ago:
Ouch. Definitely broken...
kadenajack said 477 days ago:
I would have included more to the left and above, but I actually shot this out the windshield of my car.
Ana said 477 days ago:

Thanks everyone for the feature. I don't have very many of those under my belt.
@ martylavender - This is Pensacola Beach, Florida.

Well done Jack. I stayed there and this is just an amazing shot. Beyond broken. Good composition. The image speaks for itself. Well done.

Way to go Jack. Great picture and wonderful feature.

Hi Jack
I'm sure that place is now more beautiful without the building tower than before, it seems a pleasant beach. The picture is very well choosen for the subjet "broken".

@ oriol - Unfortunately, though they finished removing the old hotel, the area is still an eyesore. The parking area is still there. It's surrounded by a fence and no new construction has begun yet.
Thanks for the comment.

Interesting to see the broken down old building right next to such a peaceful place and the perfect pier.
