would have liked to see the building a bit sharper...

I see what you're talking about King. I guess considering everything else that's going on in the frame, I would have not ever thought about working those things out. Thank you.

Kim...but I bet you would have been horrified to see a stray thread or other distraction on the edge of this masterpiece:

Thats how I feel about the image above...pristine all the way around until you get to that point.

True, true. I did pour over that one with a fine-toothed comb. I'm smiling for sure.
I'm wondering if it's because I created the macro shot for the theme in particular and really went through a huge session trying to find the best DOF, the best shot to post. While for this theme, I perused my archives and found something that fit, which in turn didn't make me be as critical about my contribution. Hmmmm, something I should pay attention to in the future, me thinks.

Bad light and a seeminlgy shallow DoF but my, that certainly is big.
The horse and cart/s look/s insignificant...

@mooch...I actually like the light. The facade of the huge building in the misty distance looks like a stage backdrop. The car in the crisp, contrasty, saturated foreground appears to have a way to go and stands out in relief.

I like the eerie haunted house feeling

Ooooo...well done. I like it! Because I like it so much, I will offer this very small observation. The car on the left edge, one third up, is close to, but not touching the edge of the frame. However, it points to two little glitches on the edge of the frame that I would have retouched out of the image...that is, if I were being obsessive/compulsive, nitpicking and overworking this otherwise beautiful shot.
High marks, of course.
