This just doesn't really pop for me. Maybe try infared or boost the contrast and use the distort feature to maneuver the rings around to more prominence. This is when I would go at it in PS for awhile to make it really zing! And I don't know about the box; I thing I'd try 4x6 to contain those taut wires.

I don't really like the crop but it's a good find...

A bit minimal, and could probably use a bit more contrast to make the sign stand out a bit more from the background. I'm not too keen on the dead center composition either.
