Beautiful! I find a bit difficult to believe that this isn't a montage, though...

Lovely colors and shapes and textures. Warm atmosphere inside, looking out on a wintry day. I think you've captured a strong feeling here. Well done.

nattfodd, it's not a montage. Why do you find that difficult to believe?

impressive, looks like a calendar...

lovely sharp image, the ice crystals on the window are great.
would have liked to have seen more or less of the window frame, just seems a bit off to me..
great photo though :)

A faultless fairytale...

Unique framing with the window cropped into an angle like that but that is also what I like about it. Love the varying colors and contrast of warm/cool and patterns within the frost. I see a dozen photos here and I'd have had a field day! Sweet image.

I love everything about this image...color, light, textures. Well done.

@Judith: I'm sure it isn't, it just that it looks like one, with the very sharp curve on the window and the huge frozen flakes. I would be curious to know what made such a pattern. Was something blocking the window at some point?

@ nattfodd...I could take a half dozen such photos of my windows, right now!
In fact, I have! Moisture and cold do amazing things in frigid regions! Trust me!

nattfodd, that's ice and frost buildup on the windows. If you've only lived and worked in modern structures, you may not have ever seen such a thing. But in my 180-year-old house with its 50-year-old leaky, single-pane windows, this happens every winter when the temperature falls below freezing. The pattern in the frost is random and it's the thing that made me want to take this picture when I saw how it was framing the tree outside.

Judith,
I'll say it again, you have this way of seeing beauty around you. Fabulous.
Judith_Polakoff said 613 days ago:
Thanks, King, and everyone else too. :)
