I was half-expecting to see this, but it sure does raise all the issues recently discussed on the board about re-submitting shots, particularly those that have featured already. And this one was featured only two themes ago...

Beautiful shot. Just a shame that the foreground columns are slightly blurred.

I must add that I took the trouble and went to reshoot it based on the comments of the first one. Hopefully it helped.
I also hope that all who found it a shame to enter the (practically) same shot twice voted all ones, as my only aim with this was to show that I care about the comments I get here.

Thanks for posting that link. I can see quite clearly the differences in the shot and I think you have done extremely well improving on it for this time. I see no problem reposting in a situation like this, actually. I find it quite commendable that you have taken the critiques offered here and taken an already really good shot and taken it to the next level.

Perfectly exposed and well framed. Were I to shoot this you can be sure somewhere the light would be all over the shop.

Very interesting. I just went back and looked closely at the previously posted shot (which I should have done before mouthing off above I guess). I commend the spirit to seek improvement and perfection. But I am torn between the two shots - I think the composition of this one is better, and you have softned the contrast so have better tonal range, but I think it now lacks a little in sharpness and contrast. Hard to tell which I like better in the end. Both great shots though.

As for scoring, all ones would be wrong I think, even if it was a re-post; impact and relevance are the criteria for reflecting originality etc., IMHO.
