The composition and blown-out sky just don't work for me.

I wish the weeds weren't blooming. It would be more decayed with out that splash of purple.

For me, the decay is in the abandoned building that has the plywood replacing what were windows. This image was my attempt to try to show beauty in even urban decay. The purple thistle flowers are suppossed to be a juxtaposition to the decay.

the building is great, but the composition seems to be based on the flowers, and therefore the building is tilted at a strange angle, and the sky is very over-blown. I think a shot without the flowers and with a bit more of the neighborhood would have had more impact.
