I like it, but I can't help but wonder what the image would look like with the green/cyan cast taken away from around the lightbulb to show an orange glow. It may add a nice color contrast. But then again maybe I'm just used to seeing lightbulbs glow orange with the tungsten filament. The wires and the cracks do say "decay to me."

This says domestic decay rather than urban to me, but it's nicely executed ... is that a green bulb or is it picking up on the ceiling colour?

I enjoy the image a great deal, but it does not clearly state URBAN to me. This could be a lightbulb and socket pulled off the ceiling in a gritty, urban basement 5th floor walkup, but it could just as easily be a lightbulb from the ceiling in my basement (decidely ho-hum suburban)that has fallen through due to a leak from the floor above.
Therefore, for me, it received very high ratings on everything except relevance. I REALLY do enjoy the image.

Thanks for the feedback, This was a shot I took on a tour of The West Virginia State Penitentiary. The light bulb is green and was in one of the hallways near the prison cafeteria. The tour guide had no idea if the bulb had any other significance other to give light and never questioned why a green bulb was in it. For the record – it didn’t give off much light.

I really don't see decay here. It reads more as home repair than anything else.
