This is definitely relevant,and I like your technique. I feel the composition is too "busy" for mytastes, but then again, those are MY tastes and not some sort of universal truth ;)

I would have preferred this with maybe one tree and alot more of the sky,andthen the dark ground bringing stability to the entire thing (perhaps possible by framing one of those treesinthe background by itself).

To me this looks quite non-photographic in a really good way. The trees look like complex cutouts from black paper. Looks like an illustration. Good work.
