this is great. i want to know more of whats going on here. what's she holding? where is she? whats creating that orange color? i only wish there was a little less wall on the right side, and a little more of the great background of old wood stairs and building. but a great shot nonetheless.

This has the potential to be pretty scary. My brain immediately thought that the person was carrying an axe or something sinister... But it looks like a tripod. :)

There is much about this to like, I just wish they weren't holding a tripod, I find it really destroys a fine and lovely image. Sorry.

I disagree with you, phototext. I find that the tripod gives the story a bit more context, reveals something about the person in the photo.

The answer to this problem: In the left hand he hold an tripod. In the right an slr with a big lens hood (from the ef 17 - 40 mm).

I suppose the tripod drags me to a reality while the rest of the image is almost dreamy. There's a mystery happening that I enjoy and for me personally the tripod takes away from that dream/ mystery feeling it has. I want it to go somewhere differant to where it's taking me with the tripod present. Differance of opinion. :-)
