I am really sorry, but unless this statue has a hidden message, I'm lost on it.... I am so sorry. The figure says more "go away" than "farewell". ;-)

flatline and flipthom, you were close: This is my personal shaman, an inuit figure carved out of soapstone. He is waving farewell while doing his oogah boogah thing. And he is trying to cast a spell to persuade a certain someone ... because he is really, really sorry that this site is closing down.
