Wow. Definitely something missing. There's no cars! ; )

The flat, snapshot look and feel of this really let me down. This is so close to a once-in-a-lifetime classic picture, but it's not.

Nice bag.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Zorilla thanks for the criticism as I feel it's the only way to learn. It would be great if you can expand a little more on your comment so that I can either fix the problem (if it's a processing issue) or if I just missed the "decisive moment" completely.
As for some self criticism, I feel the composition isn't the greatest. In hindsight I should have waited for the gentleman in the back to leave but what if I did and lost the shot and his bag wouldn't cover his...umm thing? Ha! Anyway this isn't an uncommon situation here in SF...there's scary ugly naked people all the time :)

I think I've seen this guy before. Great one for the theme!

I was just thinking something like this would fit nicely in the theme and lo and behold there it is already posted. I have to admit I was hoping for an attractive woman as the subject, but this is no less relevant and quite a bit more humorous.

If I were to expand upon agi's request for more from zorilla, I'd suggest cropping down more. Cutting off the whole right side of the image makes it much stronger in my humble opinion.
Yeah, maybe it's a little snapshot-ish, but when you see something like this you just have to draw your weapon and shoot. Maybe firing off several shots with minor adjustments to composition would have garnered a stronger image. I think had you placed him in the right of the frame it might have worked better since he's facing to the viewer's left. Another shot with just that minor pan over may have done the trick.

What does Paris say?: "That's hot!!" Well, maybe not... Good catch.

Thanks everyone.
To answer some questions this is from the Love Parade here in San Francisco.
With the help of Tracy (mtmartini) who gave me pointers on how to make this photograph better. I rescanned (I'm a film user), reprocessed and did crop the photograph a few days ago. I hope it's better now and posted it on my photoblog.

Thoughts? I'm self taught in PS so I guess I still have a lot to learn. Tracy thank you so much!

Looks much better agi. I still don't think you need anything to the right of the newspaper boxes, but reprocessing certainly helped.

that is a much better image :) you still have the same focal point, but the photo is now 'art', not just a snapshot :) isnt it great what you can do with computers, its hard to take a bad photo!
and its nice to see people on here helped you out, its what its for at the end of the day :)
