Great detail. I love the dark background too. This would've also been good for the motion theme. And I'm going to feel really dumb if this was actually submitted and I missed it.

No, wasn't submitted...but the theme was movement, not motion...so I feel dumb anyway! hee hee.

Nice technique. Feels a little heavy on the left side...I might have cropped in a bit more.

Fantastic nature shot! The movement of the wings contrasted with the sharpness of the head and body is just wonderful.

Thanks all!
Flipthom: Didn't think about this shot for that theme! Good call :)
The original background was dark but I enhanced it using 2 layers of b&w and colour, changing the layer style of the top layer, then selectively burning in a few areas.

Its a lovely bird portrait, but a little off topic

lovely, I like the white wings against the darkness of the water

This is quite a moment! I even feel like the duck is smiling at the camera! I would love to know what lens you used.

Amazing shot, the light is beautiful and you perfectly captured the moment. Very high marks.

Thanks all!
c-steps: I used the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 lens for this :)
