It's a little too grainy for my tastes (though that very well may have been the intention) but the emotional impact of it is outstanding.

I opened up the home page of WeeklyShot and said WOW when I saw this image. Very expressive and edgy, especially with the cropping which works perfectly with the mood of the young boy.

Some details...this is a toycamera shot, a Mark L, Diana camera clone I believe. I used a +3 diopter close-up filter taped over the plastic lens of the camera. The viewfinder was useless so I just framed the shot from about a foot away by pointing the lens right at his face, it was shot at about f19. It's Ilford Delta 400 film (hence the grain, no cropping or effects in PhotoShop, this is the frame on the negative...
