Come on, hard to imagine that this was shot to be about the people... Would be great in a theme: "Signs".

Its a good image, but I think it misses the brief. The people seem like an accessory to the sign.

This photograph was about the people, the sign and the flower.
I took this shot exactly like this....because all of these items/people together seemed to tell a story for me, only it wasn't my story.
If it weren't about the people, I wouldn't have composed it this way. They'd have been left out, and it would be a photo of the bench and the flower/sign.

This shot leaves me wondering about so many things! Where is this? Why is there a rose there? Why the permanent plexi-glass sign? Who are those elderly folks? Amazing.

This is in a train station in DC and I have no idea why they flower was there, but the sign was there because these benches were bigger than queen sized beds. hee hee. very inviting after walking all over the city!

You don't need to be humbled OR corrected. I respect your thoughts, though I'd never take a photo like this, if I didn't mean it to be exactly like this.
And while you were right that it wasn't about the people, it was about the setting that the people were in, and how they balanced what I saw.
