I desparately want this to work because I admire the bold composition, but there's something not quite right - I think it would work better without the dark area across the top. Nice ominous sky, and the tree works to good effect.

i can completely follow your thought, if i remember correctly there was something very much "not quite right" on the lower part of the wall.... (and it was raining and i did not have another lens with me)
i even went back to this place later only to find out that point of view was no longer accessible .... behind a fence.

I like the simple composition and the framing of the steeple, with the tree to the left. Was this taken out of a car window?

This is a real estate agent's dream "look at this great view" kind of image. Since the theme is about churches though, I'm left feeling unfulfilled, not seeing much of the structure.

The composition makes me want to see more of the church and creates a nice little tension there. Though I really like that aspect, I think I would have cropped out the upper dark section since it's a bit distracting.

peek-a-boo!! Can't decide if I like this cropping or not. My first impress was to say move the camera up just a little to see more of the building, but not sure... The sky is beautiful in an omninous way. The church building get just a little lost in tone and value, maybe juice it.

It's a cool photo, which happens to have a church in it. not entirely relevant but interesting shot. Nice clouds!
