Shadows need some emphasis. . . I'm wondering what the head is leaning against?

Beautifully done. The only thing which disturbed me is the little blue necklace. But, it's only a detail.

she's leaning against her arm, arm on the table cloth, cloth on table, table on floor ;-))).
the blue tone in her necklace and the blue in her arm pull the picture together..eh?!

wondering how i could fix her shadows..any suggestions?

Yep, Tanja, I agree but i find the contrast strange. To fix the shadow, I'd perhaps use the shadows/highlights command if you work with photoshop :)

um, i tried around alittle..(btw this was one of my older pics and close to one of my first shots ever) if i mess around with her shadows then i have to take away pretty much all of the saturation..there's just not clear enough detail on the `darker` half of her face. i don't know but there's something i like about the tones here..and i'm totally a b/w person so..
but i'm liking your input, thx!
