We all find things while we are out photographing the world. Show us your funniest, odd and weird 'things found.' No cheating! They really must be 'things found.' The more odd and strange, the better!

find / found...i do find people interesting..as i find them in 'situations..i found a moment, i found a person, i found a silly face...i find this pic funny..

funny?....she is making a funny face...there you got funny ("the kid making a funny face" schmee)

odd and weird:

your statement falls under "odd and strange"

maybe the theme should've stated if found was meaning an adjective, noun or verb.

i also *know* what everyone was expecting to pop up on this theme...but having thought my oppion through about *this* pic...my choice was found relevant! ;-)

I totally see your point...and I agree that it is totally up the photographer to decide (I do it all the time and am told I chose wrong!! ) but when I think of "things" I don't think of people at all. I think of inanimate objects.

Ana, i totally know what you mean, don't get me wrong, I'm trying to mess around here and i don't know if it's working. I do believe people, here on ws, have gotton through with it.
But i also know that you announced the theme topic and that you choose a *thing* to be something object-like. But shouldn't we twist and turn to make ws life be more interesting? take hands for instance..the second hand..what a great idea!!

I know you're trying to make it more interesting, but part of the point of the relevance category is to try and fit into a box, and as much as some of hate doing that, it is how this site is run.
That is actually part of the challenge for me; fitting into boxes when I don't want to. It makes me think outside of MY box. :)

Ana, I think the theme was written fine. I agree that it's always up to interpretation, but saying that you "found a moment" is a bit of a stretch. Every photo someone takes can be a "found moment". It's quite obvious that "found" for this theme is exactly what you stated about .. "Come upon unexpectedly"

here's the thing, if you rely on the viewer knowing the theme prior to seeing the photo, you can squeeze just about anything into relevance. i think you have to ask yourself whether someone could deduce what the theme is by only looking at the photo. i'm willing to wager that no one would ever guess "funny things found" by looking at the photo alone, so to me, that's a failure in terms of relevance.

making a face is not a "thing" and cause you weren't expecting it doesn't make it "found". this site is a photo meme, not a rhetoric meme.
